We are now two years in to the Sounds-Write programme at Cedars and it has had a huge impact on our children and staff. Our Literacy results in Key Stage 1 have shown a marked improvement and Sounds-Write has certainly contributed towards this. We have now expanded the use of Sounds-Write in to our Foundation 1 Class (Nursery) and also as an intervention programme in Key Stage 2. Our books are written particularly to support phonic teaching and can be used by anyone teaching reading to children. These titles focus on particular sounds to give children plenty of practice of the most common spelling alternatives presented in each of the Extended Code Units.
We've rebranded our Initial Code and Extended Code Main Collection decodable readers. We've done this in order to:
- Include small edits to the texts
- Develop a new look that shows off our up-to-date logo and branding.
